For All You Conservatives Out There:
I don't about you, but over the last few years, I have noticed many new changes in Lego products. New changes are always hard for me to deal with, but these changes have gone too far. This whole entry will be about this topic, so if you're bored or don't care, you might as well leave. One of the first changes (about 10 years ago) in the Lego minifigs was at the top of their heads; the little bump (for attaching hair and hats) used to be solid plastic and now it has a hole there. That was a small change and didn't matter much, but did you actually notice it? For a while, there wasn't much change besides the addition of new face patterns, new hats, new accessories, and putting designs on legs and the backs of shirts. These changes were for the better. But in the last few years, the big changes. Recently, the lego people have turned pale (and other skin colors) and have hair painted on top of their heads. Is Lego turning into Mega Bloks, one of the biggest rip-offs out there? I hope not. Also, I was surprised that the new Bionicle and Knight's Kingdom themes did so well. I didn't realize that Lego was so popular for making action figures. It's kind of sad that Lego has to change to deal with the new market demands... |
